Full Time Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable clinical professional to serve as a full-time scribe and support role for a sports medicine physician. This position requires strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining professionalism and supporting high-quality patient care. Minimum Qualifications Current LPN or RN license in the state of Mississippi OR Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows Experience with EMR systems Ability to read, write, and understand communication Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of clinical experience, preferably in orthopedics or specialty care Experience with ICD-10 coding Previous scribe or provider support experience Familiarity with
EPIC EMR
systems Experience working with coding and billing departments Essential Duties & Responsibilities Serve as a dedicated scribe during patient encounters, documenting physician notes in real-time Enter and review visit notes, diagnoses, and treatment plans in the EMR Assign preliminary ICD-10 codes based on documentation and provider guidance Prepare charts and ensure documentation completion Room patients, obtain vitals, and assist with procedures Administer injections as directed Serve as contact for patient questions regarding care and follow-ups Collaborate with clinical team to maintain efficient operations Maintain professionalism and adaptability in fast-paced and provider-specific environments Perform other duties as assigned Physical Requirements Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and kneeling Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs independently; >50 lbs with assistance Manual dexterity for clinical and documentation tasks All candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of this position.
