Duties Transcribe detailed clinical notes during patient visits, ensuring accuracy and completeness of medical documentation. Assist physicians by documenting patient histories, physical examinations, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Manage and organize medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations. Demonstrate strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to accurately interpret physician dictations. Support the medical team by preparing documentation ahead of appointments and updating records promptly after visits. Utilize typing skills to efficiently input data in real-time, maintaining momentum during busy clinic hours. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify information when necessary and ensure precise recordkeeping, especially in emergency room settings or urgent care environments. Experience Prior experience in a medical office or clinical setting is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with healthcare workflows. Proficiency with EMR or EHR systems to navigate digital records seamlessly. Strong transcription skills with an eye for detail to produce clear, accurate documentation. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and emergency room procedures enhances your effectiveness in this role. Experience with medical records management and understanding of privacy regulations such as HIPAA is advantageous. Typing speed and accuracy are essential for keeping pace with fast-moving clinical environments. Previous exposure to emergency room or urgent care settings is a plus, showcasing your ability to handle high-pressure situations efficiently.
