Medical Assistant/Medical Scribe

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Scribe and Medical scribe to join our healthcare team. The Medical Scribe and Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our medical professionals by accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time. This position is ideal for individuals interested in pursuing a career in medicine, as it provides valuable exposure to clinical settings and patient care processes. Duties Accurately document patient histories, physical examinations, and other clinical information during patient visits. Assist healthcare providers by ensuring that all relevant information is captured in the electronic health record (EHR). Record vital signs and other pertinent data as required during patient assessments. Collaborate with medical staff to enhance the efficiency of patient care in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, urgent care, and emergency medicine. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information. Support the medical team in a Level II Trauma Center environment by providing timely and accurate documentation. Participate in medication administration documentation and ensure proper recording of treatment plans. Skills Strong understanding of hospital medicine practices and procedures. Familiarity with emergency medicine protocols and urgent care operations. Ability to accurately document vital signs and basic life support measures. Experience or knowledge related to inpatient and outpatient care settings. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with healthcare professionals and patients. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation purposes.
