Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking to fill a Medical Assistant/Medical Scribe position in our clinic. This individual will work closely with the physician to accurately document patient interactions and medical information in real-time, as well as assist with back-office operations to ensure a smooth daily workflow. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining valuable experience in the healthcare field. Previous employees have gone on to matriculate in medical school and physician's assistant school. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated college graduate with professional aspirations in healthcare, as the physician is very hands-on and loves to teach. Our office culture is very warm and congenial, and it's safe to say the current staff looks forward to coming into work every day!
NOTE:
The schedule is Monday-Thursday, 8am-5pm, in-person. Please do not apply if you have school or other work commitments that would conflict with this.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist healthcare providers with charting patient encounters in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Transcribe medical terms and abbreviations into detailed patient records.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient visits, procedures, and test results.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to update patient histories, physical exams, and other pertinent information.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide medical administrative support as needed.
  • Send and request medical records and other documentation
  • Process refill requests
  • Assist in procedure room
Requirements:
  • Experience or knowledge in medical clinics
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification.
This can be obtained after hiring.
Pay:
$14.00
