Mechanicsville, VA Job Details Full-time From $16 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health savings account Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Employee discount Life insurance Qualifications HIPAA Patient care Full Job Description A Medical Scribe/ Medical Assistant is responsible for documenting accurate and thorough patient information and medical records on behalf of the healthcare provider. The scribe works closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other clinical staff to ensure timely, complete, and compliant documentation, allowing the provider to focus on patient care. Key Responsibilities Accompany the provider during patient visits (in-person & virtually) to document patient histories, physical exams, diagnostic findings, treatments, and care plans in real time. Transcribe orders for tests, prescriptions, and procedures as directed by the provider. Ensure all patient records are updated and accurate in the electronic health record (EHR) system. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements. Prepare charts and ensure completeness before and after patient encounters. Assist with administrative tasks such as retrieving patient records, locating diagnostic test results, and preparing referral letters. Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support efficient workflow and patient throughput. Qualifications Interest in women's health clinical role Bilingual (Spanish) preferred Willing to work at any of the Richmond area offices as needed (Mechanicsville, Henrico, North Chesterfield) Follow all laws and policies including but not limited to OSHA, HIPAA, Privacy Practices and other office policies Must submit to background check & drug screenings as determined by office policies Experience and/ or education in medical assisting (MA), licensed practical nursing (LPN) or registered nurse (RN) preferred Benefits of the Role Exposure to medical terminology and clinical workflows—ideal for those pursuing careers in healthcare (e.g., nursing, physician assistant, medical school).
