This dynamic role combines hands-on clinical exposure with the chance to refine your medical terminology knowledge and EMR/EHR system proficiency. Duties Accurately transcribe physician-patient interactions in real-time, ensuring comprehensive and precise medical documentation Assist healthcare providers with navigating Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to update patient records efficiently Support the clinical team by preparing examination rooms, managing medical records, and organizing documentation for upcoming appointments Demonstrate strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to facilitate clear communication and accurate record-keeping Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic policies Assist during patient visits by gathering preliminary information, taking vital signs, and supporting emergency room procedures when necessary Develop familiarity with medical records management, including filing, retrieving, and updating patient charts Qualifications Prior experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment is highly preferred Strong transcription skills with attention to detail and accuracy in documenting clinical encounters Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and typing skills capable of handling detailed medical documentation efficiently Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and emergency room procedures to support clinical activities effectively Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced setting Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality A proactive attitude with a genuine interest in healthcare careers such as medicine or physician assistant studies This paid opportunity is designed to empower aspiring healthcare professionals by providing practical experience that bridges classroom learning with real-world application.
