Medical Scribe

Join Our Eye Care Family! Redman Gelinas Eye Care is looking for a medical scribe, a healthcare professional who assists our doctors by documenting patient encounters and medical histories and completing administrative work.

Responsibilities include:

correctly and efficiently documenting electronic medical records system assisting doctors with requests (equipment, supplies, medications) maintaining a professional, medical environment while in the exam room performing screenings and testing upholding patient confidentiality (HIPAA) as the scribe works side-by-side with the provider during exams assisting with tasks that improve patient flow, such as preparing documents or communicating with other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

strong understanding of medical terminology proficient with computers and excellent communication skills ability to multitask in a fast paced practice with high patient volume excellent customer services skills high level of attention to detail proven problem-solving skills High school graduate or higher ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting Experience is preferred, but will train the right candidate (e.g. medical assistant, nursing assistant, medical secretary). Typical work week is 32-40 hours Monday through Friday although part-time candidates are welcome to apply. To cover time off, you may be asked to travel to our other offices in Eagle River and Park Falls. Pay/benefits contingent on experience and part-time/full-time status.
