- Birmingham, AL Full-Time or PRN | Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care Redmont Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Medication Aides (MACs) to join our nursing team in Birmingham, Alabama.
Medication Aide Requirements:
Completion of a state-approved Medication Aide training program and certification Knowledge of medication administration procedures and practices. Ability to read and understand medication orders and dosage instructions. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to resident care. Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and procedures accurately. Physical ability to assist residents with mobility and perform tasks related to medication administration.Medication Aide Responsibilities:
Administer medications to residents as assigned and permitted by Alabama regulations Accurately document medication administration and resident responses Observe residents for side effects, reactions, or changes in condition and report any concerns to the nurse on duty Assist with medication cart preparation, storage, and inventory Follow all physician orders, facility policies, and medication administration procedures Ensure medication records and documentation are completed accurately and timely Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed Work collaboratively with nurses, CNAs, therapy staff and other team members Why Join Redmont Health and Rehabilitation Center?
