Position Summary:
Medication Assistant Certified ( MAC ) We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medication Assistant, Certified (MAC) t o join our team. U nder the supervision of licensed nursing staff. This role plays a critical part in maintaining resident safety, compliance, and quality clinical outcomes in our long-term care and rehabilitation environment. Key Responsibilities Administer medications as delegated and permitted by state regulations Observe residents for medication effectiveness and report concerns to licensed nurses Document medication administration accurately and timely Follow infection control and medication safety procedures Assist with maintaining medication carts, supplies, and storage areas Support nursing staff with resident care as needed Ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards Qualifications Current Medication Assistant Certification in Alabama Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care Active CNA certification in good standing (if required by state guidelines) Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to follow clinical direction and communicate effectively Commitment to resident safety and quality care
