In this vital role, you will assist in providing high-quality medication administration and patient care within assisted living communities, and home care settings. Your expertise will support residents and patients with various needs, including those with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other memory care requirements. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring specialized care while working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. All positions are paid roles, including internships, emphasizing the importance of your contribution to health and well-being. Duties Safely administer prescribed medications to residents and patients following all regulatory guidelines and facility protocols Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to assess patient health status Maintain accurate medical documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner. Observe and report any changes in patient condition or behavior, especially in individuals with dementia or memory impairments Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality Requirements Valid certification as a Medication Aide from an accredited program Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medical documentation standards Experience with medication administration techniques including tube feeding and catheter care Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate record-keeping Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or those requiring hospice or memory care services Strong caregiving skills complemented by excellent communication and observational abilities Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality Join us to be part of a compassionate team dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our residents and patients through expert medication management and personalized care.
