Are you a Medication Technician who genuinely enjoys working with seniors? Join our caring team at Cottages at Peoria, where your compassion and skills make a meaningful difference every day! We're currently seeking Arizona State Certified Medication Technicians to assist with safe, accurate medication administration and provide exceptional care to our residents in a supportive, home-like environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide assistance (or reminders) with activities of daily living, including grooming, oral hygiene, bath/shower, hair cleaning and brushing, and transferring to and from activities and meals, as needed Ensure clients receive their medication on time Lift and/or transfer residents as needed. Assist in meal preparation/presentation, serving to resident, and other dining related responsibilities; record and report changes in resident's eating habits to the supervisor. Record and report changes in resident's condition to the supervisor including but not limited to changes in resident's ability to perform activities of daily living, skin changes, bruising, etc. Daily follow up on bath schedules and vital signs (blood pressure, weight, and respiration, etc). Immediately report all incidents or accident involving residents to the Resident Follow proper procedures in emergency situations and respond promptly and positively to resident requests for assistance, including emergency pull cords, telephone calls, and requests from family and friends.
Requirements:
Current Arizona Caregiver Certification Valid Arizona Medication Technician Certification CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Valid fingerprint clearance card (or in process) TB test and health screening (as required by state regulations) Prior experience in senior care, assisted living, or memory care preferred Compassionate, reliable, and team-oriented attitude Physical stamina High school diploma or equivalent
