POSITION SUMMARY
Performs direct resident care according to the Nursing Care Plans. Documents services provided as required by facility policy. Assures that proper safety measures are followed.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITY
Perform or assist residents with personal hygiene and grooming Weigh residents Assist with bathing Take vital signs Performs hand on assistance with proper transfers and proper body alignment. Makes beds and take out trash. Prepare residents for meals Assist with escorting residents Keep resident rooms neat and orderly in accordance with infection control policies Collect urine and stool specimens as requested Computer knowledge Deliver Medi sets and medication reminders. Assists with maintaining adequate nutritional status Responsible for safe practices in all areas of work Uses supplies and equipment economically and charges accordingly Performs any other duties or assumes any other responsibilities as directed by the Charge Nurse, DON, or Administrator Attend and participate in continuing educational programs Exposure to body fluids and body waste
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School graduate or equivalent Nursing Assistant certificate from approved state program Current fingerprint Clearance card ADPS Current CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification
PHYSICAL DEMAND
Lift up to 40 pounds Prolong standing or walking #Low
