Weekend Med Aide Four Seasons Assisted Living - 3.4 Valley Village, CA Job Details Full-time From $20 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Paid training Paid time off Qualifications Safe work practices Medication dispensing CPR Certification Medication administration documentation Patient monitoring Medication pass administration First Aid Certification EMR systems Patient emergency assistance Full Job Description We are hiring for a Med Aide who can work Fridays 3-11 pm, Saturdays 7 am - 3 pm, and Sundays 7 am - 11 pm. We will have other PM shifts available for the right candidate, but you must be able to cover those four shifts (Friday PM, Saturday AM, Sunday AM, and Sunday PM). Med Aides are responsible for bringing residents the correct dosage of their medications at the required times, documenting all medications given, distributing PRNs when appropriate, and communicating with other departments to ensure resident needs are met. Responsibilities of the
Med Aide:
Assist residents by pouring the correct doses of their medications. Pass medications to residents at the ordered times. Oversee residents as they self-administer medications. Document all medications given as well as any medication refusals. Adhere to safety guidelines in the community, including proper lifting technique and universal precautions when assisting residents. Follow the schedule of duties for Med Aide, as well as the individual plan of care for each resident. Function as a team, assisting coworkers as the need arises. Monitor residents' functional and psychosocial status, and take action as required to promote resident wellbeing. Act immediately on any resident crisis, following protocol and basic first aid training. Document resident status changes, including but not limited to, physical changes, reaction to medications, and psychosocial status changes.
