THE OPPORTUNITY
Ever Well Health Systems is expanding its therapeutic communities and seeking a qualified Medication Services Assistant to support operations in Stockton. This role contributes directly to structured residential treatment within an integrated care model that includes housing, nutrition, and 24-hour clinical and program supervision. The position plays a key role in maintaining safe medication practices, regulatory compliance, and clinical coordination within a licensed residential setting. Sunday-Thursday Tuesday-Saturday Friday-Monday AM shift, 2nd Shift Weekends and Holidays as ScheduledWHAT YOU WILL DO
Provide medications to residents in accordance with theSeven Rights:
right patient, right medication, right dose, right time, right route, right reason, and right documentation. Maintain accurate and complete medication documentation. Receive, log, store, and dispose of centrally stored medications in compliance with Title 22 regulations. Monitor residents for medication side effects, interactions, and contraindications and take appropriate action. Obtain and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respirations, temperature, blood glucose, and oxygen saturation. Ensure medication orders are valid, current, and supported by appropriate consents. Support residents in accessing medical care and perform first aid when required. Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards. Implement medication support systems and maintain compliance with applicable health and safety regulations. Assist residents in following Restricted Health Condition Care Plans.REQUIREMENTS - WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR A
detail-oriented, clinically responsible professional who understands the regulatory and safety standards required in licensed residential behavioral health settings. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong documentation skills, sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to maintain composure in a structured clinical environment.REQUIRED - EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED required. One year of general experience handling medications required. One year working full-time in a residential facility required. One year caring for adults experiencing mental health or substance use challenges required. Additional education in human services or healthcare preferred.REQUIRED - ABILITIES & ATTRIBUTES
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Ability to follow regulatory standards and structured procedures. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with residents and staff. Sound judgment and calm response in clinical or emergency situations. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.REQUIRED - CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
Prior work experience at a facility licensed by the California Department of Social Services or Department of Health Care Services. Must obtain and maintain criminal records clearance as required by Title 22 regulations, including FBI and DOJ clearance. Valid California driver's license. DMV pull program enrollment. Current First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification.REQUIRED - PHYSICAL
Health screening within one year prior to employment or within seven days of hire, including current TB clearance. Ability to assist in emergency evacuations and administer first aid. Walking, sitting, pinching, finger flexion, and visual/auditory acuity required constantly (over 2/3 of the workday). Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and twisting required occasionally (under 1/3 of the workday).HOW TO APPLY
