Job Description

Position Summary:
The QMAP is responsible for safely administering medications and treatments to residents in accordance with state regulations, facility policies, and care plans. This role ensures residents receive medications accurately and on schedule while maintaining detailed documentation and promoting a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by licensed healthcare providers, following proper procedures and facility protocols. Accurately document medication administration, including dosages, times, and any resident responses or side effects. Monitor residents for adverse reactions or changes in condition and report concerns promptly to the nurse or supervisor. Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and facility policies. Follow all state regulations regarding QMAP training, scope of practice, and medication administration. Assist residents with medication self-administration when appropriate, providing supervision and guidance. Participate in ongoing training and competency assessments as required by state law and facility policy. Collaborate with nursing staff, care staff, and families to ensure residents' medication needs are met. Maintain a clean and organized medication storage area and ensure medications are properly labeled and stored.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an approved QMAP training program and current certification. Knowledge of medication administration procedures, including oral, topical, inhaled, and injectable medications if applicable. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff. Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 25-50 lbs. Manual dexterity to handle medications and medical equipment safely. Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.

Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
