Little Sisters of the Poor-Brooklyn Provice Enfield, CT Job Details Full-time $19 - $21 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Certified Medication Technician Full Job Description Certified Medication Technician (C.M.T.) Prepares, administers and records select oral, nasal, transdermal, rectal, inhalant, tropical and ophthalmic scheduled medication to Residents under the supervision and direction of a licensed nurse also function as a nursing assistant based on schedule need. Has High School education or equivalent. Has successfully completed an approved Medication Assistant Training Program and is certified in CT for medication administration. Has received instruction on medication actions, medication effects on body systems and side effects especially in relation to geriatric Residents. Nursing Assistant The Nursing Assistant is expected to perform routine Resident care duties as delegated by the registered nurse or licensed practical nurse as specified in the Resident's comprehensive assessment and plan of care. Such care includes assuring resident safety and assisting Residents with their mobility and performing/assisting with personal cares (i.e. their activities of daily living). A high school diploma or general education diploma (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Identify and recognize the uniqueness of each Resident including those with dementia. Recognize the changes associated with aging and be able to adapt Resident care when these changes present themselves Demonstrate an ability to establish relationships with Residents, Sisters, employees, and families and communicate with respect and dignity.
