Medication Tech/Caregiver

Responsibilities Assist with self-administration of medications following all regulatory guidelines and facility protocols in an Assisted Living setting Monitor residents' vital signs and overall health status, documenting changes accurately in medical records or electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner Assist residents with daily activities including mobility, personal hygiene, and feeding needs, including tube feeding when necessary Support residents with memory care needs, Alzheimer's or dementia-related behaviors by implementing specialized care techniques Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality during all documentation and communication processes Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care plans are followed Record medical documentation meticulously, including medication administration logs, vital signs, and other relevant health data Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a caring environment that promotes dignity and respect Skills Experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation Experience working with individuals with dementia or related disease Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with healthcare teams and family members Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to ensure privacy and security of patient information Compassionate caregiving approach combined with a proactive attitude toward patient safety and well-being Join us in delivering exceptional care that empowers our residents to live healthier, happier lives.
