Medication Technician/Caregiver 7255 Strive Place, Fern Park, FL 32730 Part-time, Full-time Part-time, Full-time Job Overview Join our compassionate healthcare team as a Medication Technician/Caregiver, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care within assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, and home care settings. Your energetic and dedicated approach will ensure residents and patients receive safe medication administration, personalized support, and compassionate caregiving. Duties Safely administer medications following prescribed dosages and schedules, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to assess patient health status Assist residents or patients with daily activities including bathing, dressing, mobility support, and feeding—especially in memory care or hospice settings Maintain accurate medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems like Epic or Cerner Support patients with specialized needs such as catheter care, tube feeding, or other complex medical procedures while adhering to safety protocols Communicate effectively with healthcare teams regarding patient progress, medication changes, or concerns related to physiology or anatomy knowledge Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals with dementia or disabilities, fostering a respectful and caring environment Requirements Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and medical documentation standards Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is advantageous Ability to accurately measure vital signs and perform basic nursing tasks like catheter care and tube feeding Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy relevant to patient care needs Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams while maintaining HIPAA compliance Valid certification as a Medication Technician or equivalent; additional caregiving certifications are a plus Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful senior care, hospice support, dementia care, and working with individuals with disabilities Join us in making a positive impact through dedicated caregiving!
