Job Description

TIME AVAILABLE
  • 6AM-6:30PM-Day Shift
  • 6PM-6:30AM-Night Shift
  • 12 HOUR SHIFT We are currently seeking full time Medication Aides.
This position requires individuals to dispense medications and aids in supervising and training patients, as well as assisting healthcare providers with daily tasks. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and has a strong medical background. Essential Job Duties 1.Prepares and observes medication to residents in accordance with facility guidelines and other laws and regulations. 2.Confirms identity of residents prior to observing medications; charts drug, dosage and time of administration. 3.Identifies inaccuracies in medication or other treatments and seeks guidance of an LPN or RN. 4.When required, monitors and records vitals signs upon observation of medication. 5.Tracks, orders and reorders medications based on facility guidelines; works with pharmaceutical company to return medications in accordance with state and federal regulations. 6. Assists residents in daily routine of personal care as specified by facility guidelines.
