Medication Technician/Resident care

Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medication Technician/Resident Care professional to join our dedicated healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe administration of medication and providing high-quality care to residents in our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer prescribed medications to residents accurately and timely while maintaining detailed records of medication administration. Monitor residents for changes in health and behavior, and report any concerns to the nursing staff or healthcare provider. Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their comfort and dignity. Support residents' overall well-being by engaging in meaningful conversations and activities, promoting a positive and nurturing environment. Follow facility guidelines and healthcare regulations to ensure compliance and safety in all resident interactions. Collaborate effectively with the nursing team and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay current with best practices in medication administration and resident care.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; completed medication technician training program or certification preferred. Previous experience in a healthcare or assisted living setting is an asset. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work compassionately with diverse populations and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Basic knowledge of healthcare practices and medication management.
