Medication Administration Technician (PRN) Augusta, GA | Bluff Recovery $15.00 - $16.00 per hour PRN (As Needed) Primary Weekend Day and Evening Coverage Bluff Recovery is seeking a dependable and compassionate Medication Administration Technician to join our exceptional team in Augusta, GA. This role is essential in supporting safe and accurate medication administration while helping create a structured, therapeutic environment for clients receiving substance use and behavioral health treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete medication-related paperwork for new admissions. Verify client medications during intake and admission. Assist the medical department with documentation and recordkeeping. Support and oversee medication administration in accordance with policy and procedure. Serve as a practicum observer for newly trained staff in medication administration. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and onsite staff to ensure client needs are met. Maintain clear communication through verbal reports and written logs. Attend meetings and trainings as required. Provide support to clients regarding treatment needs and concerns. Maintain a safe, clean, orderly, and therapeutic environment. Assist with crisis intervention when necessary. Observe client behavioral and emotional needs and provide feedback to the treatment team. Transport clients as needed. Complete admission paperwork and other assigned duties.Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. 2-5 years of related healthcare or medical experience preferred. Knowledge of medication administration procedures preferred. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) strongly preferred. Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or mental health settings is a plus.Desired Skills & Competencies:
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to problem-solve and make sound, ethical decisions. Professionalism, flexibility, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Ability to remain calm and effective during crisis situations. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
