Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Medication Aide, where you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, safe, and effective medication management to residents in assisted living, nursing homes, and other senior care environments. Your expertise will ensure that individuals receive their medications accurately and timely, supporting their overall health and well-being. This position offers an engaging opportunity to work closely with diverse populations, including those with complex medical needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and other chronic conditions. Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications to residents following all safety protocols and medical guidelines Assist with medication reconciliation and documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner Monitor residents' vital signs and observe for adverse reactions or changes in condition, reporting findings promptly to nursing staff Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or memory impairments, including memory care techniques and behavioral management Support residents with activities of daily living, including tube feeding, catheter care, and other personal hygiene tasks Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality Collaborate with nursing staff on patient care plans and participate in ongoing training related to physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medication administration Skills Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments Strong knowledge of medical documentation procedures and medical terminology Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate record keeping Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized care Excellent caregiving skills with a compassionate approach toward seniors and individuals with complex health needs Knowledge of hospice care principles and dementia-specific care strategies Understanding of vital signs measurement, tube feeding procedures, catheter care, and medication management protocols Join us in making a positive impact by providing exceptional medication administration and personalized care.
