In this vital role, you will assist with medication administration and patient care, ensuring residents receive safe, timely, and accurate treatments. Your expertise will support our commitment to providing exceptional senior care, including assisted living, memory care, and hospice services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs, from those with developmental disabilities to seniors requiring specialized dementia or Alzheimer's care. You will work closely with nursing staff and healthcare professionals to promote health, safety, and well-being in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications accurately following physician orders and facility protocols Assist residents with activities of daily living, including mobility, hygiene Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to assess health status Support patients with complex needs such as tube feeding, catheter care, and medication management Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy Collaborate with nursing staff on medical records updates, medication reconciliation, and care plans Observe and report any changes in residents' condition or behavior promptly to the healthcare team Assist with medical procedures requiring knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards in assisted living or nursing home settings Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals or home care environments is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of medication administration procedures and medical documentation practices Experience caring for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease or other cognitive impairments Background working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is advantageous Knowledge of vital signs monitoring, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology necessary for accurate patient assessment Previous caregiving experience across senior care settings including hospice or memory care is a plus Join us if you're passionate about providing compassionate care that enhances quality of life!
