Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Medication Aide to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals, and possess a strong understanding of patient care, medication administration, and medical documentation. This role is essential in ensuring the health and well-being of individuals with various needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, and Alzheimer's disease. Duties Administer medications to residents as prescribed by healthcare professionals while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using EMR/EHR systems Collaborate with nursing staff to develop individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Engage with residents in meaningful activities to promote their emotional and social well-being. Ensure a clean and safe environment for all residents while adhering to infection control protocols. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding. Provide mobility assistance (transfers, ambulation, repositioning). Assist with restorative care programs as directed by nursing staff. Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight, and intake/output). Observe and report changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the nurse. Document care provided in the appropriate charting system. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents. Follow infection control and safety procedures. Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs. Assist residents with meals, encourage adequate fluid and food intake. Provide skin care, turning, and positioning to prevent pressure injuries. Assist with range of motion (ROM) exercises as directed. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff. Participate in shift reports and care conferences. Support nursing staff in carrying out care plans. Escort residents to appointments or activities. Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge procedures. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Light housekeeping Requirements Certification as a CNA with a Medication Aide Licensure in Georgia. Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or acute care is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and caregiving practices is essential. Familiarity with memory care techniques and experience working with individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer's or dementia is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment. Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems for accurate documentation of patient care activities. Pay:
$15.00 - $16.50 per hour
