The Children's Medication Access Services (CMAS) Team pharmacy technician supports pediatric patients by coordinating medication access for specialty, high ‑ cost, and complex therapies. Working under pharmacist supervision, this role focuses on benefits investigation, prior authorization coordination, documentation, and communication to ensure timely therapy access. •Boost Your Career with National Certification Assistance•Why You'll Love This Role Monday to Friday,day shifts-8:00AM to 4:30PM Located inBoise, Idaho Certification pay for PTCB Adv. Certification;andpreceptor pay Work in a dynamic environment with other interdepartmental disciplines What You'll Do Receive and triage medication access requests through EPIC work queues and messages Perform benefits investigations, including coverage determination, restrictions, and prior authorization requirements, includingsubmittingand tracking prior authorizations. Conduct routine payor follow ‑ up and route denials or clinical escalations to the pharmacist and/or clinical team Document all actions and outcomes accurately in EPIC and support workflow metricswhile following standardized workflows and supporting team operations and process improvement. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Valid Idaho Pharmacy Technician License Two (2) + years' experience Certified Pharmacy Technician ( CPhT ) Preferred qualifications Experience inprior authorization, specialtypharmacyor medication access.
