Qualified Medication Aide - Assisted Living Oak Grove|
Greencroft Communities DeMotte, IN Compensation:
$20.49-$22.71 per hour, based on experience, plus applicable weekend and shift premiums
Schedule:
Part-Time Day Shift | Approximately 40 hours per pay period Join Our Team Oak Grove Assisted Living is seeking a dedicated and resident-focused Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to support the health and well-being of older adults in our community. This position combines medication administration responsibilities with direct resident care and offers the opportunity to work closely with nursing staff in a supportive assisted living environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional care while promoting resident dignity, comfort, and independence. What You'll Do Administer prescribed medications under the direction of licensed nursing personnel and in accordance with established care plans. Assist residents with daily care needs while encouraging independence and maintaining a person-centered approach. Observe residents for changes in condition, medication effectiveness, adverse reactions, or concerns and promptly communicate findings to nursing staff. Maintain accurate and timely records related to medication administration, resident observations, and care provided. Follow all applicable state regulations, facility policies, infection prevention practices, and medication safety procedures. Collaborate with nurses, caregivers, physicians, and other team members to ensure quality resident outcomes. Support a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff. Participate in other resident care activities and departmental responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Current Indiana Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) certification in good standing. Current Indiana Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required. Successful completion of a state-approved medication administration training program. Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, memory care, or senior services is preferred. Familiarity with electronic health records and medication documentation practices is beneficial. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary care team while providing compassionate service to older adults.
