Job Description

Duties:
  • Administer medications and insulin to patients as prescribed by healthcare professionals
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Monitor patients for any changes in condition and report to the appropriate healthcare professionals
  • Document medication administration and patient care activities accurately and timely
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding for patients who require assistance
  • Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures ```
Qualifications:
```
  • Must be a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) certified in the state of Indiana
  • Must be Certified in Insulin Administration
  • Previous experience in hospice care, caregiving, or senior care required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and medication systems
  • Familiarity with medical documentation and electronic health record systems
  • Ability to perform physical examinations and assist with tube feeding if required
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
