Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Medication Aide to join our healthcare team in a Home Plus Setting. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to individuals, particularly those with developmental disabilities, in various settings including assisted living and home community care. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, effective communication skills, and the ability to maintain accurate medical documentation. You must be comfortable working alone. This is a new Home Plus and the amount of residents will vary in the beginning. Must be flexible to this. Duties Administer medications to patients as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Assist with daily living activities and provide personal care, including catheter care when necessary. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care activities. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Monitor patients for any changes in condition and report concerns promptly. Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic for documentation and communication purposes. Provide support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive environment. Qualifications Certification as a Medication Aide is required. Experience in patient care, particularly with individuals with developmental disabilities, is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices is essential. Previous experience in caregiving or assisted living environments is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
