Job Description
- Certified Medication Aide (PRN)
Job Summary:
- We are seeking a reliable and compassionate
- Certified Medication Aide (PRN)
- to join our team at Paramount Community Living and Rehab in Newton, Kansas, USA.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications to residents as directed by the nursing staff, following established protocols and procedures
- Monitor and record resident vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
- Provide assistance with daily living skills, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with mobiling and transferring residents, as needed
- Observer and report changes in resident condition, behavior, or physical status to the nursing staff
- Maintain accurate and timely records of medication administration and resident care
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Demonstrate a commitment to resident-centered care and a strong sense of empathy and compassion
Requirements:
- Current certification as a Medication Aide in the state of Kansas
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in long-term care or a related field, preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet resident needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
