Job Description
Job Summary:
Provide supportive care in a medical detox and residential environment as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in Kansas. Collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure patients consistently receive safe and effective medication administration and support.Duties and Responsibilities:
Dispense oral, inhalation, and topical medications to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, as permitted by Kansas law. Observe patients for possible drug reactions or side effects and immediately report concerns to nursing staff. Carry out tasks associated with medication administration, including obtaining patient vital signs, calculating medication dosages, and maintaining medication cart inventory. Record all medication administration in accordance with agency policy and regulatory requirements. Communicate any changes in patient condition or medication response to the nursing team. Maintain a warm, supportive, and calm environment for patients. Act quickly and appropriately in emergencies. Safeguard confidential patient information unless disclosure is necessary for patient safety and welfare. Follow federal, state, and agency regulations to protect the health and safety of patients and staff. Uphold ethical and legal standards in all interactions and tasks. Perform other duties as assigned.Essential Functions:

Supporting the nursing team in monitoring and managing patient medication regimens. Required License(s)/Certification(s): Certified Medication Aide credential, as recognized by the Kansas Department of Health. BLS Provider credentialed by the American Heart Association (AHA).Education/Experience/Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Must have current CMA certification. Previous experience as a Medication Aide preferred. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
