Our facility features private rooms, welcoming communal spaces, and a professional rehabilitation team focused on enhancing quality of life for our residents. Job Overview We are seeking a qualified Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our compassionate healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, nursing home, assisted living, or hospital settings, with expertise in medication administration and patient care. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents by ensuring safe and effective medication management within a supportive environment. Duties As a CMA you will administer prescribed medications accurately following physician orders and established protocols. Monitor residents' vital signs and assess their responses to medication treatments. Maintain precise medical documentation and update electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Point Click Care. As a CMA you will assist residents with activities of daily living, including mobility, hygiene, and nutrition support. Observe and report any adverse reactions or changes in residents' health status to nursing staff. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality at all times. Provide compassionate care tailored to individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments. Support hospice and palliative care efforts by delivering respectful and dignified medication administration. Experience We are looking for a CMA that has prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments. Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical documentation is essential. Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Point Click Care is highly desirable. Knowledge of specialized care for individuals with disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or those requiring hospice support will be considered an asset. A valid Certified Medication Aide (CMA)license is required along with a strong understanding of medication administration procedures and patient safety protocols.
