Our facility offers private bedrooms, inviting common areas, and a professional rehabilitation team committed to enhancing quality of life. Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our compassionate healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a passion for patient care, and experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospital settings. As a Certified Medication Aide, you will administer medications, monitor patient health, and support residents' overall well-being in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices. Duties As a CMA you will need to safely administer prescribed medications to residents following established protocols and medical documentation procedures. Monitor residents' vital signs and observe for any adverse reactions or changes in health status. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, mobility, and feeding as needed. Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Point Click Care, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. As a CMA you will need knowledge and background in supporting residents with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care, hospice, and other senior care services. Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care delivery. Follow infection control procedures and maintain a clean, safe environment in accordance with healthcare standards. Document medication administration and patient responses thoroughly within medical records. Requirements Valid certification as a Medication Aide (CMA). Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medication administration protocols. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Point Click Care is highly desirable. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs including Alzheimer's or dementia care is advantageous. Excellent communication skills coupled with compassionate caregiving abilities. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.
