Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications accurately following physician orders and established protocols Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to assess patient health status Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, mobility, and nutrition support Maintain detailed medical documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner Observe and report any changes in patient condition or behavior promptly to nursing staff or supervisors Provide specialized care such as catheter care, tube feeding assistance, and memory care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and medical records at all times Support patients during hospice or palliative care by offering compassionate assistance aligned with their needs Food Prep and cooking with specified recipes Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in accordance with state regulations Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medication administration procedures Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or working within memory care units is highly desirable Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, transferring residents safely, and providing personal care Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and medical record-keeping standards Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and families Join our dedicated team where your skills will directly impact the health and happiness of those we serve.
