In this vital role, you will administer medications accurately, monitor residents' health status, and support overall patient care with professionalism and empathy. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day while working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Duties Safely administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with state and facility protocols, including oral, topical, injectable, and tube feeding medications. Monitor residents' vital signs and observe for adverse reactions or changes in condition, promptly reporting findings to nursing staff. Maintain accurate medical documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, mobility support, and basic nursing tasks like catheter care and wound management. Support residents with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities. Follow all safety protocols related to medication storage, handling, and disposal; ensure proper documentation of medication administration and medical records. Collaborate effectively with nursing staff to deliver comprehensive patient care in assisted living facilities, hospitals, or home & community care environments. Skills Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals or home care environments with a strong understanding of senior and memory care needs. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and the principles of medication administration. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; experience in medical documentation is highly preferred. Ability to accurately measure vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature. Excellent caregiving skills combined with patience and compassion for working with elderly populations or individuals with disabilities. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and secure handling of medical records. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team in fast-paced healthcare settings while maintaining attention to detail.
