2.50 an hour shift differential for Yearly Performance Evaluation We are in search of a
CERTIFIED
Medication Aide (CMA) at our long-term care facility in Franklin, Kentucky. The successful candidate must also be a
CERTIFIED
Nursing Assistant (CNA). These two (2) certifications are eligibility requirements.
Job Summary:
The Medication Aide may work in place of a nurse to pass oral medications, apply topical ointments, and dispense drops to the eyes, ears, etc. Under the supervision of the charge nurse, the Medication Aide will be required to also perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the Nurse Aide (CNA) when not dispensing medication.
Job responsibilities may include:
Administer oral medications, apply topical ointments, and dispense drops to the years, ears, etc. Maintain accurate and timely records reflecting a resident's conditions, medications, and treatments, and assist with research related to the improvement of nursing care. Reorder medications as directed and communicate with other members of the health care team. Reliably provide excellent resident care assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, transferring/mobility, and feeding. • Participate in the lives of our residents in a manner that enhances their well-being and reflects our warm, caring, safe, and dignified environment. Must be able to assist with the evacuation of residents. Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information. Comply with all Healthcare Act rules and regulations and any related laws and regulations. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.
