Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Medication Technician (CMT), a vital role committed to delivering exceptional medication management and patient care in various senior living and healthcare settings. As a CMT, you will play a crucial part in ensuring residents and patients receive accurate medication administration, compassionate support, and personalized attention. This position offers an energizing opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs, including those requiring memory care, hospice support, or assistance with disabilities. Your expertise will contribute to creating a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment where residents thrive. Duties Safely administer prescribed medications to residents or patients following all regulatory guidelines and facility protocols Verify medication orders using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with medical documentation standards Monitor vital signs and observe for adverse reactions or changes in condition, reporting findings promptly to nursing staff or healthcare providers Assist with specialized care procedures including tube feeding, catheter care, and other aspects of senior and medical care that require physiology and anatomy knowledge Maintain meticulous medical records, documenting medication administration, patient responses, and relevant observations while adhering to HIPAA privacy regulations Support residents with activities of daily living such as mobility assistance, memory care routines, and hospice or dementia-related needs Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care across assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or home care environments Qualifications Valid certification as a Medication Technician or similar credential recognized by state regulations Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration procedures Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory impairments is highly desirable Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards in medical records management Excellent caregiving skills with compassion and patience for working with seniors or individuals with disabilities Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to enhancing quality of life through expert medication management and compassionate care. Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
