Medication Technician (Med Tech) - Up to $25/hr | Weekly Pay Skowhegan, Maine Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Medication Technician (Med Tech) to join our healthcare team in Skowhegan, Maine. The ideal candidate will have hands-on medication administration experience and a strong commitment to providing exceptional resident care in Long-Term Care (LTC), Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, Assisted Living, Hospital, or Home Care settings. This position is for an experienced Medication Technician (Med Tech) . We are NOT seeking CRMA-only candidates for this role. Applicants must have direct, hands-on medication administration experience in a healthcare setting. Candidates whose qualifications are limited to CRMA certification without Medication Technician experience will not be considered. Qualified candidates should have experience administering medications and providing resident care in Long-Term Care (LTC), Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF), Rehabilitation Centers, Assisted Living Communities, Hospitals, or Home Care settings. Compensation & Benefits Up to $25.00 per hour Weekly Pay Competitive Compensation Package Flexible Scheduling Opportunities Supportive Clinical Team Career Growth and Advancement Opportunities Meaningful Work Supporting Resident Health and Well-Being Responsibilities Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and state regulations. Monitor residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, adverse reactions, and changes in condition. Accurately document medication administration and patient observations in EMR/EHR systems. Assist nursing staff with routine patient care activities and resident support. Obtain and record vital signs as required. Assist residents with activities of daily living including mobility assistance, hygiene, grooming, feeding, and personal care. Support patients requiring specialized care, including memory care, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice care, and senior care services. Assist with catheter care, tube feeding, and other delegated care tasks within scope of practice. Maintain accurate patient records using systems such as Epic, Cerner, or similar healthcare documentation platforms. Communicate changes in resident conditions promptly to nurses and healthcare providers. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain strict patient confidentiality. Follow infection control standards, medication protocols, and facility safety procedures. Collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, caregivers, residents, and family members. Maintain a clean, safe, and professional healthcare environment. Required Qualifications Previous Medication Technician (Med Tech) experience required. Direct medication administration experience required. Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC), Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Rehabilitation, Assisted Living, Hospital, or Home Care settings preferred. Knowledge of medication administration procedures and resident care practices. Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic nursing procedures. Experience documenting patient information using EMR/EHR systems preferred. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and healthcare documentation standards. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Ability to safely perform physically demanding tasks while maintaining professionalism and resident dignity.
