Job Description
Beztak Senior Living wants you to join our family of talented individuals. We are seeking to hire bright, dynamic leaders who have a passion for service and a commitment to excellence! At Beztak, we love what we do, and it shows. Our team of caring professionals work together to make our senior residents feel at home in our communities. Beztak is looking to hire a Medication Technician join our team. As a Medication Technician, you will be primarily responsible for the administration or assisting in the administration of medication and treatments in accordance with a resident's health care provider's orders. You will also be responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADL's), providing general supervision, and respecting residents' rights and needs of choice. Looking for 1st and 2nd shift full-time and part-time employees
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides medication assistance for residents in accordance with state regulations and company policy including; pouring, preparing, assisting with administration, and documentation Accepts responsibility for accurate medication counts and for security of the medication cart and medication storage room for assigned shifts Assists in maintaining the medication cart and storage room in a neat and orderly manner May be called upon to assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility, as needed Responds to all residents needs and/or requests for care promptly, and provides or obtains assistance with care as necessary Upholds Residents' rights at all times Supports and upholds all company policies and care philosophy Observes residents for change in physical, emotional, mental, or behavioral condition, unusual symptoms, medication side effects, accidents, injuries, or unusual occurrences, and reports promptly to a licensed nurse Completes all documentation such as medication administration records, incident reports, change of condition reports, and behavior tracking, as requested, in a timely manner Resolves concerns regarding resident care with all constituents in a timely manner Ensures proper and timely records reporting in your department in accordance with state and federal guidelines and company standards Completes all mandatory compliance, HIPPA and state and federal regulatory training as required Attends all required staff meetings and in-service training sessions Assists with other duties as assigned Working in a high-pressure environment, interacting with difficult customers/vendors, handling urgent matters, resolving conflicts, having effective interpersonal skills Operating a company vehicle or personal vehicle (as required) to perform job duties. Candidates must be willing and able to drive for work-related purposes as needed.PERSONAL QUALITIES
Demonstrates a positive attitude and contributes to an atmosphere of team spirit and cooperation within the facility Promotes customer service and positive community relations by treating residents, families, other staff, and all visitors in a courteous, helpful and friendly mannerQUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent preferred Minimum of 1-year previous experience as a Caregiver for the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting Must be able to read, write and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and other staff members Must be able to perform the job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation Must complete the Medication Aide training (and certification in states where required)Pay:
$16.00 - $19.00 per hourBenefits:
