Saint Therese - Monroe, MI Saint Therese IHM webpage Part-Time |
Medication Technician Schedule:
Positions available include working every other weekend and every other holiday Six 12-hour shifts per two-week period
Available Shifts:
6:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m. (time | 72 hours per two-week pay period) Sign on bonus $1,000.00 •Same Day Pay Available•
Experience Required:
Previous experience as a Medication Technician required if formal training has not been completed Previous experience as a CENA or Nurse Aide required Experience in assisted living or memory care preferred

Our IHM community includes 224 independent living, assisted living, and memory care apartments, along with 56 skilled and transitional care units, designed to support residents through changing health needs while maintaining dignity, comfort, and meaningful community connections. The Difference You'll Make Safely administer prescribed medications, including oral medications and, when trained and authorized, subcutaneous insulin, in accordance with physician orders and community policy Assist residents with medication administration while monitoring for side effects or adverse reactions Accurately document medication administration, including PRN use, effectiveness, and any follow-up interventions Obtain and record vital signs as needed to assess resident response to medications Maintain accurate and timely medical records under appropriate supervision Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests, supporting overall care needs Foster a respectful, compassionate environment for residents, families, and team members
Qualifications:
Education Preferred:
Successful completion of an approved Medication Technician training program preferred
Experience Required:
Previous experience as a Medication Technician required if formal training has not been completed Previous experience as a CENA or Nurse Aide required Experience in assisted living or memory care preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Resident-centered approach with awareness and sensitivity to individual needs and abilities Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Working knowledge of electronic charting systems and basic computer applications Dependability and ability to follow written and verbal directions Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting and transferring residents Professional maturity and composure in a fast-paced care environment Rewards That Support You Competitive pay with credit for experience Medical, Dental, Vision (60+ hrs. per pay period)
