Job Title:
Assisted Living Aide (7:00a-3:30pm)
About Us:
Oakwood Senior Living is an Assisted-Living & Memory Care community where we support up to 24 Elders. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for our Elders through compassionate care and meaningful engagement. We're seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Assisted Living Aides (ALAs). If you're passionate about making a difference in the lives of Elders and thrive in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you!
Position Overview:
As an Assisted Living Aide, you will play a crucial role in providing personal care and support to our Elders, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. Under the supervision of our RN, you will assist with daily living activities, administer medications, and maintain a safe and nurturing environment. We are currently hiring for a part-time day position, which includes every other weekend and rotating holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Elders with daily living activities, including grooming, dressing, and mobility.
  • Administer medications and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Monitor vital signs and report any changes in health to the nursing staff.
  • Assist with meal preparation, serving meals, and addressing dietary needs, following individual preferences.
  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks to maintain a clean living space.
  • Foster a supportive environment that promotes independence and dignity.
Qualifications:
  • Strong interest in caring for Elders and a commitment to teamwork.
  • Completion of basic culinary training and competency evaluation for unlicensed staff.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with Elders and their families.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential.
