Job Description

ML1 Care Partner (Medication Level 1) John Knox Village East & Meyer Care Center 1201 West 19th Street, Higginsville, MO 64037 Part-time, Full-time Part-time, Full-time Join a compassionate, high‑energy team where you'll make a daily difference in residents' lives. As an ML1 Care Partner, you'll support licensed nurses and empower residents to live with dignity, comfort, and independence. What you'll do: Safely prepare, administer, and chart medications per protocol; follow all ML1 standards. Assist with dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, eating, mobility, positioning, turning, and range‑of‑motion exercises. Perform treatments and tests; collect specimens as directed; document and report observations promptly. Respond to call lights quickly and courteously; transport, transfer, and escort residents as needed. Keep resident rooms neat and organized; change linens, make beds, and assist with meal service and clean‑up. Champion safety, infection control, and fall‑prevention; encourage participation in activities, restorative programs, and rehab goals. What you bring:
Active ML1/Medication Aide certification (state‑recognized) and current standing. Basic knowledge of medication administration and documentation protocols. Compassion, reliability, strong communication, and a resident‑first mindset. Ability to lift/assist, stand/walk for shifts, and follow safety procedures. Prior long‑term care or assisted living experience is a plus.
