Medication Assistant Aide Job Description:
Highgate at Bozeman is seeking a compassionate Medication Assistant Aide to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely administration of medications to our residents, while promoting dignity and independence. About the
Role:
Collaborate with nurses, caregivers, and families to support residents with medication administration, while maintaining a person-first approach. Administer medications according to policy, document accurately, and observe and report changes in condition promptly. Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and provide supportive companionship to residents. Follow infection control, safety, and emergency procedures, and use healthcare software and complete task lists reliably.
Skills & Attributes:
Attention to detail and documentation accuracy Calm, compassionate presence with strong communication skills Computer comfort and ability to quickly learn new software Ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities Team player with strong feedback and trust-building skills
Relatable Experience:
Certified Medication Aide/Assistant roles in senior living Caregiving, hospitality, or customer service experience Volunteer work with vulnerable populations
Qualifications:
At least 18 years of age CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Current negative TB test Ability to pass a criminal background check Able to carry/transfer up to 25 lbs with assistance
