Job Description

Are you a CNA looking to take the next step in your career? Missouri Slope is pleased to offer a Medication Assistant II Training Program for CNAs! We will cover the cost of educational classes, text & materials, and clinical experience for chosen candidates. All class and clinical time will be paid at an hourly wage. •

CNA LICENSE TO TAKE THIS CLASS
• $10,000 sign-on bonus! Bonus will be offered when candidate accepts a position guaranteed 24-40 hours per week and is paid out after 6, 12, 18, and 24 months upon completion of program.
CLASS SCHEDULE
(Washington Campus) April 27th to May 15th | No Weekends April 27th & 30th May 4th, 12th, 14th, & 15th, All days are 8:30 am - 5:00 pm 4 days of clinical to be scheduled following class after passing the classroom curriculum DUTIES Administer medications that are oral, topical, nasal, rectal, metered dose inhalers, or those instilled within the eye or ear or through a g-tube Responsible for passing of scheduled medications that are administered on a routine basis and do not require drug calculations, dosage conversion, determination of need, or assessment of resident Responsible for documentation and accounting of all drugs Responsible to make certain all medications are administered and documented as stated on Medication Administration Record, utilizing the electronic medical record system Administers direct personal care to residents Responsible to provide a safe environment for residents and co-workers by following all established safety policies and procedures Responsible for using mechanical lifts and/or manually assisting resident transfers using forces up to 60 pounds frequently Responsible for transportation of residents requiring the physical act of pushing and/or pulling a variety of types of chairs up to 30 lbs. on a frequent basis Encourages the residents' participation in the activity program and assists with transporting as needed Will make and change linen on residents' beds according to the established procedure or according to the wishes of the resident Must respect and uphold resident rights in all regards including confidentiality of resident information Maintains vigil and care for dying residents and assist the resident and their family in coping with the dying process and death Keeps written notes and record pertinent resident information on the resident's permanent record and report to the charge nurse Demonstrates Missouri Slope's customer service standards of excellence #INDNUR Currently CNA certified in ND Must be a CNA in good standing 18 years of age or older High school diploma or equivalent required Must commit to attending all training classes on-site as scheduled Must complete clinical training hours within 6 months of classroom training Must be willing to become CPR certified (training provided by Missouri Slope) Must be willing to abide by and sign the Medication Assistant Program Agreement Successfully pass a drug test, background check, including criminal history, certification registries, and employment history Completion of training as required by Missouri Slope Employees at Missouri Slope are required to receive the annual influenza vaccination as a condition of employment. Successful candidates must either get the vaccination (which is covered by the employer), provide proof of a current vaccination, or obtain an approved accommodation on their start date. This requirement is in place to safeguard the health and safety of our employees, patients/clients, and the community we serve, in alignment with state and federal health guidelines. Exemptions may be made for medical reasons (e.g., documented allergy or medical contraindication) or sincerely held religious beliefs that prevent vaccination.
