Certified Medication Aide

Duties Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments to residents following all protocols and physician orders Monitor vital signs and observe residents' physical and emotional well-being to identify any changes or concerns Maintain accurate medical documentation using electronic health record. Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding needs such as tube feeding Support residents with specialized care requirements like catheter care, medication management, and memory care strategies for dementia or Alzheimer's patients Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to update care plans and communicate resident progress effectively Ensure a safe environment by adhering to infection control procedures and maintaining medical records with precision Qualifications Valid certification as a Medication Aide or Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in accordance with state regulations Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medication administration procedures Experience caring for individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions like dementia or Alzheimer's disease Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments while demonstrating compassion and professionalism Join us in delivering exceptional patient care through your expertise!
