Position Summary The Assisted Living Medication Aide (Weekender) is responsible for safely administering medications and providing compassionate care to residents in the Assisted Living community. This role supports residents' health, safety, and well-being by following physician orders, assisting with activities of daily living, and ensuring accurate medication documentation. The Weekender position is scheduled every Saturday and Sunday and includes additional weekender pay differentials. Key Responsibilities Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols Accurately document medication administration and resident care in electronic medical records Monitor residents for medication side effects and changes in condition, and report concerns to nursing staff Assist residents with activities of daily living, including mobility, hygiene, and comfort as needed Ensure medications are stored, handled, and disposed of according to regulatory standards Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for residents Respond promptly to resident needs, call lights, and emergencies Communicate effectively with nurses, caregivers, and other team members to ensure continuity of care Qualifications Current 40-hour Certified Medication Aide certification in the state of Nebraska Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or healthcare preferred Strong attention to detail and medication safety practices Compassionate and resident-focused approach to care Strong communication and teamwork skills Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents as needed Ability to lift or assist with lifting residents according to facility policy Why Join Our Team Competitive benefits package including low premiums, short-term disability, long-term disability, HSA contribution matching, 401(k) with company match, and more!
