Job Description

Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Residential Aide, where you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to residents in a long-term care or assisted living environment. Your energetic and caring approach will help foster a safe, comfortable, and engaging atmosphere for individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with developmental disabilities, or residents requiring memory care. Qualifications:
1. Previous Experience
  • None 2. Shall at least be 18 years of age. 3. Education
  • GED or High School Diploma. 4. Certifications
  • must have or be willing to obtain First Aid, CPR, DDD trainings etc., driver's license valid in the state of New Jersey. 5. Professional Licenses
  • None. 6. Additional Requirements
  • must be a flexible individual who has a basic knowledge of community living arrangements, integration, and normalization.
7. Successfully complete and demonstrate proficiency in all areas of required training.
Job Summary:
1. Responsible for all duties as assigned by the Manager so that the residential facility will operate smoothly and provide the residents the opportunity for maximum growth. 2. Responsible for maintaining accurate knowledge of residential procedures, shift responsibilities, operation manual, individual service recipients' characteristics, and Department Policies and Procedures.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Service Recipients

Participate in the development and implementation of the service recipients

Ensure all medication is taken at proper time and in the quantity that is prescribed; ensure that house management is aware of quantity of medication available in the home; and ensure proper records are maintained regarding use of medication. C. Ensure accurate records of service recipients and program activities are maintained in service recipients I.S.P. Records and Residence Logbook. D. Have a present and accurate knowledge of location and activity of any service recipients at any given time. 2. General
  • A.
Ensure all work is accomplished as assigned by the Manager or his/her designee. B. Ensure all messages are taken and transmitted accurately. C. Ensure residence is maintained in a clean and orderly physical condition so that all inspection requirements are met. D. Maintain an accurate knowledge of geographic area to carry out all job duties. E, Maintain a positive attitude and role model for all residents. F. Maintain an awake alert awareness while on duty to ensure safety of service recipients. This means no sleeping while on duty unless the aide is on night duty and awake overnight coverage is not necessary. Asleep overnight staff may be required to stay awake for the shift if conditions merit this action. G. Cooperate with the Arc of Camden County, Division of Development Disabilities staff, licensing staff and Department of Human Services staff during inspection, inquiry, or investigation. H. Complete shopping needs for the program as assigned by the supervisor. I. Complete housekeeping duties as assigned by the Manager.
