Assisted Living Medication Technician 45 Jericho Turnpike, Jericho, NY 11590 From $19 an hour - Part-time, Full-time, Per diem From $19 an hour - Part-time, Full-time, Per diem Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as an Assisted Living Medication Technician, a vital role committed to providing compassionate, safe, and efficient medication management for residents in assisted living environments. In this position, you will work closely with healthcare providers to ensure residents receive their medications accurately and on time, supporting their overall health and well-being. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities by delivering expert medication administration and personalized care. Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with physician orders, ensuring proper dosage and timing. Document all medication activities accurately, maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain detailed medical documentation, including medication logs, medical records, and incident reports, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Communicate effectively with management, physicians, families, and other caregivers regarding residents' medication needs and health changes. Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility assistance, personal hygiene, and providing emotional support during care routines. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with medication administration protocols and medical documentation. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within HIPAA guidelines while managing sensitive medical records and patient information. Strong caregiving skills combined with a compassionate approach to senior care and disability support are vital for success in this role.
Pay:
From $19.00 per hour
