We are currently seeking reliable and caring Certified Medication Aides to join our resident care team. As a Certified Medication Aide, you will play an important role in supporting residents by ensuring medications are administered safely and accurately, while also providing compassionate daily support in a home-like environment. Key Responsibilities Include:
Assist with self-administration of medications for residents who have been approved to self-administer with supervision Accurately document all medications, refusals, and observations in MAR/eMAR systems Observe residents for changes in condition, side effects, or concerns and report promptly to nursing staff Ensure proper storage, handling, and security of medications Perform routine vital signs as required and report abnormalities Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary care team members Support a safe, clean, and respectful environment for all residents
Position Qualifications:
Certified Medication Aide (CMA) or NYS-approved medication assistance credential Completion of NYS-approved Assisted Living/Memory Care medication assistance training High School Diploma or equivalent Prior experience in assisted living, long-term care, or healthcare setting preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication administration and documentation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, patient-centered approach to resident care Reliable, organized, and team-focused mindset Fully vaccinated against
