The ideal candidate will have experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings, with a strong understanding of medical documentation, medication administration, and patient care. This role involves providing essential medication management and support to residents or patients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Candidates with knowledge of EMR/EHR systems, medical terminology, and experience in dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, or hospice care are highly preferred. The Certified Medication Technician will play a vital role in delivering high-quality senior and community care within a respectful and compliant environment. Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications accurately following physician orders and facility protocols Document medication administration using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner Monitor and record vital signs and patient responses post-medication Assist with activities of daily living including catheter care, tube feeding, and other personal care tasks Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient status and medication needs Support residents with Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care, or hospice needs with compassionate caregiving Ensure adherence to safety standards related to medication storage and handling Assist in patient care activities that promote overall health and well-being Qualifications Valid certification as a Certified Medication Technician (CMT) or equivalent credential Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and nursing practices Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is preferred Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs is a plus Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards Ability to work effectively with seniors and individuals with disabilities in various care settings Excellent communication skills and compassionate caregiving approach Ability to work independently while collaborating as part of a healthcare team This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents by providing expert medication management and compassionate support within a professional healthcare environment.
Pay:
$21.00 - $22.00 per hour
