Schedule:
Full-Time | Day Shift 7am-7pm and Evening Shift 7pm-7am
Pay:
Competitive wages based on experience, plus shift differentials Position Summary The Medication Technician is responsible for the safe and accurate administration of medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse while assisting with resident care and promoting a positive living environment. This role plays an important part in ensuring the health, comfort, and well-being of our residents. Essential Responsibilities Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and state regulations. Document medication administration and promptly report any medication concerns or changes in resident condition. Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed. Observe residents and communicate concerns to the nursing team. Maintain medication carts, supplies, and records in compliance with facility standards. Ensure resident safety, dignity, and comfort at all times. Work collaboratively with nurses, STNAs, therapists, and other care team members to provide exceptional resident care. Follow all infection control, safety, and confidentiality policies. Qualifications Current Medication Technician (Med Tech) or Medication Aide certification in the State of Ohio required. Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or assisted living preferred. Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills. Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused approach to care. Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
